You can spend lots of time fixing up your looks, book dinner reservations at an expensive restaurant or find the best bar in town, and make all the money you want, but when it comes to truly attracting a woman, it all comes down to your conversation. It can be very frustrating when your conversations seem to always go nowhere, resulting in large awkward silences before the 2 of you part ways. The problem here is that you’re focusing on the wrong conversation topics. Fortunately, this is an easy fix.

By making use of the following 7 conversation topics, you’ll be able to turn your conversations with women from good to great.

1) When you were kids

No matter what your age, your childhood will always hold a special place in your heart. By opening up to her and letting her know about your journey through life, not only will you show her your emotional side, but she’ll also be able to relate. By opening up the doors for conversation topics about childhood, she’ll have her own experiences to share, which will allow her to contribute lots to the conversation as well.

2) What you’re passionate about

There are 2 reasons that this is the easiest topic to use. First off, it once again allows her to see your emotional side, something that will only help to win her over. Secondly, it gives you something to talk about that you actually enjoy talking about! This will help take the weight off the conversation. In the same way, once you’ve talked about your passions, guide the conversation in the direction of hers. Ask her lots of questions about what she likes to do. Afterwards, when she thinks back on the conversation the two of you had, she’ll remember it being lots of fun because she was able to talk about the things she loves.

3) The people around you

Because you’re talking to a woman you’ve spent very little time with, you won’t have lots of common experiences that you can work with… except for your current experience. Discuss your surroundings to form a bond with her, whether it’s the kind of bar you’re currently at, the food at the restaurant, or the people around you. One thing that’s great to do when you’re talking to a woman is to come up with back stories for the strangers around you. This puts the two of you in a collaborative mood and also gives you an opportunity to show her your creative side.

4) Her ambitions

While telling her about your job and your past is good, women place a lot of value on where their man is going in life. But more importantly, you’ll want to get her to talk about her own future ambitions. This, once again, steers the conversation in her direction, allowing her to talk about herself. Plus, it will also boost the emotional state of the conversation, since it’s impossible to talk about ambitions without feeling a little excited.

5) Her travels

Travel is always a fun conversation topic, but this is where you want to step back and let her talk. While you may have traveled to some amazing places, and may have lots of stories from those adventures, too many of these and it’ll seem like you’re trying too hard to impress her. Instead of doing that, start off by talking about your travels and then start asking about her travel stories. This will reveal her various passions, desires, world views, etc… which you can call back on later in the conversation.

6) Your life lessons

While this isn’t really a “topic”, it is important to ask yourself throughout your conversations, what has this lesson taught you? By having depth to all your conversation topics, not only are you showing her the depth of your own thought (something women like finding in a man), but you’re also once again opening up more doors in the conversation. Rather than just telling her about your 6th grade fight (one topic), you can talk about what was going through your mind at the time and the lessons you’ve learnt from the experience (many topics). This will get the conversation expanding on its own.

7) Your thoughts on pop culture/current events

If you ever find yourself having a tough time coming up with things to talk about, you can always bring up your thoughts on pop culture or current events to avoid any awkward silences. However, you’ll want to avoid using this conversation topic too often or you’ll be perceived as boring and having no depth.
